The Partnership for Public Education (PPE) invites members of the University’s community to apply for a PPE Mini-Grant and join a committed team of leaders who are strengthening public education in Delaware.
PPE is inspired by a vision of excellence and equity in public education for Delaware's children and families. Our work is grounded in the belief that partnerships involving research, practice, family, and community are essential for the improvement of educational opportunities.
Purpose

The primary purpose of these mini-grants is to advance the mission of PPE through engagement and partnership with the P12 Delaware community.

Grants are for UD faculty and staff.
Process to Apply

Download and complete the PPE Mini-Grant Application. Once completed, please submit your application along with any additional attachments/supporting documents via ppe-info@udel.edu.
PPE will accept proposals on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Grant Amount

The maximum amount awarded for any PPE Mini-Grant is $2,500. Those with larger projects and/or financial need are encouraged to apply for a PPE Fellowship.
Due to limited resources, PPE may not be able to fund all requests. Applicants are encouraged to seek matching support from their own departments or organization.
Grant Evaluation Criteria

The extent to which the proposed grant is consistent with PPE’s mission.
The extent to which the proposed project advances educational opportunities or improves outcomes for public education, as well centers educational equity.
The extent to which a compelling educational issue is addressed.
The extent to which the project can be sustained beyond grant funding.
The extent to which the project meets the needs of both UD and community partners.
Responsibilities of Grant Recipients

Collaborate with partners in developing your proposal.
Submit a letter from each partner documenting willingness and permission to participate in the project.
Upon consultation with the PPE team, develop a reflective product on partnership work.
Submit a final budget report that fully accounts for the use of funds.
Complete work within a year of project commencement.
